Giving Thanks

Happy Black Friday, friends. Did you have a good Thanksgiving? Did you crawl out of bed this morning at 3:00 a.m. to get to Kohl's or Target by 4:00 a.m.? If you did, I sure hope it was worth it. Even with the promise of piping hot coffee I didn't dare get out of bed until after 8:00 a.m.

Yesterday I spent the majority of the morning and early afternoon in the kitchen preparing the Thanksgiving feast, and enjoyed the comforts of being at home with my family. I just love the ritual of it all. I love having people over and I especially love getting the house ready for entertaining.

I am grateful to have celebrated a holiday that allowed for me to have enough pause to reflect on the things for which I am most thankful, like...

my sweet...

...and sometimes mischievous children!

my husband and his sense of humor!

my mother! She adores her grandchildren even though they hover over her every minute of every day!

warm coats, boots and knitted hats!

science!

doctors!

I am also eternally grateful for my dear friends, Lisa, Megan, Gloria and Cristin... they're the best!!!

I'm also thankful for all of you who read this blog. You've made this project super fun and I appreciate your lovely comments, emails and constant encouragement. Thank you, friends.
