Quibble Number 1

Sometimes when life gives you lemons you make lemonade . . . that is, until you find that you have no sugar. You discover it's been months since you last used the juicer and now you can't find it. Your energy level is meager at best and you can barely lift a pinky finger let alone a ladle. Sometimes life gives you a pillowcase full of lemons and then beats you over the head with it . . . or so it seems.

Twenty four hours is a huge chunk of time to spend alone in the far corners of your mind. One minute you can be a perfectly rational person and then the next minute, you're the hysterical, angry faced lady wandering an empty house on a beautiful sunny afternoon with nothing to keep you company except a pale blue bathrobe cinched just a little too tightly around the waist. Trust me, this can happen to anyone.

My advice: When you find yourself in this state, I suggest you take a long shower, get dressed and get on with whatever it is that you would normally do. If this doesn't work, then I suggest you get in your car, drive to the nearest grocery store, and buy a carton of lemonade. Heck buy two cartons -- buy whatever gets you through the day!

My head hurts.

  2. Kristi, thanks for your comment. I guess I wasn't feeling very cheerful on the day I wrote this post. HA! Whenever I need a pick-me-up, I head over to Teacher Tom's blog. His blog is good place to go to bring life back into focus.
