Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

After so many failed attempts at baking, I've decided to turn the kitchen over to 3-year old Alex. I pre-measured everything and then let her make the Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies.

First she poured 1 cup of sugar into a bowl.

To that, she added 1 egg and 1 teaspoon of Vanilla.

She then whipped it all up with a hand mixer. . .

. . . until nice and creamy. Then she added 1 cup of smooth Peanut Butter.
Mixed it all up and then. . .

. . . placed the entire mixture into the fridge for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes in the fridge, Alex took heaping spoonfuls of dough and formed into balls.

Then using a fork, she pressed down on the round dough making cross marks.

I had to step-in at this point just to put the cookie sheet into the 350 degree oven. And after only 12 to 15 minutes of baking. . .

. . . we were munching on these yummy cookies.

While I wish I could say that my little Alex is far above better than any other child on the planet at baking cookies I'd be telling a tall tale. The truth of the matter is -- any child can do this. Isn't that super fantastic??

Finally, cookies that taste great. Thanks Alejandra!!!

  3. This is great! Charlie just made a batch and is patiently waiting for them to bake. I am guessing they won't last an hour in this house!
