Is it a cake or a brownie? I say it's both. I started with what seemed like a very straight forward brownie recipe and instead got a brownie with a cake like consistency. Not exactly what I was going for, but hey, it's chocolate, whaddya gonna do?
I've been spending far too much time drooling over these brownies at First Look Then Cook and today decided to take the plunge and go for it.
The cake, oops, I mean, brownie is pure chocolate goodness all tied together with a gooey marshmallow layer beneath a layer of chocolate frosting. Yes, I said it. Chocolate brownie, marshmallow and then another layer of chocolate -- doesn't get any yummier than that. So at this point, there really is no reason to quibble over whether it's a cake or a brownie, just know that it tastes really good.
